Statement of Need

In recent years, there has been an influx of men presenting to their their primary care providers with questions and concerns about testosterone and the role it plays in their general, overall health. This has been due, in part, to environmental scanning on the part of male patients and the preponderance of media attention focused on some of the symptoms that can result from testosterone deficiency, such reduced libido and erectile dysfunction.

Optimal care by primary care clinicians who encounter men who have developed or who are at risk for developing testosterone deficiency is anchored to the clinicians’ working knowledge about the pathophysiology of testosterone deficiency, clinical competence in screening for the condition, and use of effective treatments and monitoring strategies to improve patient outcomes. This CME Outfitters Video Webcast features expert faculty and videos of patient vignette that delve into evidence-based, best practices for the management of testosterone deficiency.
